Based on actual events that never happened:
Paul: “Hey Hilary how’s your book about losing weight in the winter going?”
Hilary: “I don’t know; it’s kind of slow, I need some inspiration.”
Paul: “Come on Hilary, ‘Inspiration is for amateurs – the rest of us just show up and get to work.’”[1]
Hilary: “Is that so?”
Paul: “Sure I mean, I am not saying that you shouldn’t be inspired sometimes. What I mean to say is that ‘Inspiration exists, but it should find you working.’”[2]
Hilary: “Ow it’s like that huh! You are going to get all poetic on me now?”
Paul: “I’m just saying!”
Hilary: “So what about you lover boy, have you proposed to Michelle yet? I mean do you know that ‘Delay is the enemy of all progress?’”[3]
Paul: “What’s progress got to do with it?”
Hilary: “Ow sweetheart, before you know it she will be progressing herself into some other man’s arms. You should ‘Never make a good woman wait.’”[4]
Dante: “Hey Shelby, congratulations, I heard that you’ve been selected for next season’s Ultimate Fighter series. How did you get so lucky?”
Shelby: “Luck has got nothing to do with it, ‘Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.’”[5]
Dante: “I guess you are right. You are always well prepared. Me on the other hand I am never ready for anything.”
Shelby: “Don’t wait until you are ready to take action. Instead take action to be ready.”[6]
Charlene: “Amanda please! If you carry on in the way you have, the whole faculty will hate you.”
Amanda: “I’d rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I’m not.”[7]
Charlene: “I wish I was as brave as you are and could tell people off the way you do.”
Amanda: “Charlene, ‘You must never be fearful about what you are doing when it is right.’”[8]
Amanda: “So did you hear that Paul finally proposed to Michelle?”
Charlene: “Are you serious right now? I guess ‘Better late than never.’”[9]
Amanda: “She always wanted to be a wife and a mother, but she is almost 40.”
Charlene: “It’s never too late to be who you might have been.”[10]
Amanda: “Let’s go grab a pizza; I’m starving.”
